Local History
Local Historians are people with passion forthe past and love for their own place , village or town.
Each community is one unit in a broader social and economic region.
The pat haunts present.
Historical events shape the community psyche.
Some glamorise past, some barbarise.
The word history derives from Greek meaning-
“a learning or knowing through enquiry”.
The historians give life and voice to yesterday’s people.
Frankness and detachment characterise the historian’s dealings.
Historians pile fact upon fact.
Reserching and writing history can be a rewarding personal activity or hobby.
Desktop publishing has reduced publication costs, but selling is a challenge.
